Organizations & Teams
OpsTower uses organizations to group resources together. Each organization has its own agents, connections, reports, knowledge files, billing plan, and team members. A single user can own multiple organizations and be a member of others.
How Organizations Work
Section titled “How Organizations Work”When you first sign up, OpsTower creates a default organization for you. All your agents, connections, and reports belong to this organization.
You can create additional organizations for different teams, projects, or clients. Each organization is completely isolated — resources in one organization are not visible in another.
Creating Organizations
Section titled “Creating Organizations”To create a new organization:
- Click the organization switcher at the top of the sidebar.
- Click Create New Organization at the bottom of the dropdown.
- Enter a name for the organization and click Create Organization.
The new organization starts on the free tier with no resources. You’ll be automatically switched to it after creation.
There is no limit on how many organizations you can create.
Switching Between Organizations
Section titled “Switching Between Organizations”The organization switcher is always visible at the top of the sidebar. Click it to see all organizations you have access to (owned and invited), then select the one you want to work with.

- A role badge (e.g., “viewer”) appears for organizations you’ve been invited to.
- A checkmark shows which organization is currently active.
Your selected organization is remembered across sessions.

Billing Per Organization
Section titled “Billing Per Organization”Each organization has its own billing plan. When you create a new organization, it starts on the free tier. You can upgrade each organization independently.
Usage limits (agents, connections, reports, chat messages) are tracked per organization. Team members share the organization’s usage quota.
