X (Twitter) Connection
The X (Twitter) connection integrates your account with OpsTower via OAuth, giving agents the ability to pull recent tweets, analyze engagement metrics, and search for mentions.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”You need an X (Twitter) account with API access. The connection uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for secure authorization.
Setting Up the Connection in OpsTower
Section titled “Setting Up the Connection in OpsTower”- In OpsTower, navigate to Connections in the sidebar.
- Click Add Connection and select X (Twitter).
- Click Connect with X to start the OAuth flow.
- Authorize OpsTower in the X consent screen.
- You will be redirected back to OpsTower with the connection active.
What Agents Can Do
Section titled “What Agents Can Do”Once connected and enabled on an agent, the agent can:
- List recent tweets — pull your recent posts with engagement data (likes, retweets, replies, impressions)
- Get tweet metrics — retrieve detailed metrics for specific tweet IDs
- Search mentions — find tweets mentioning your account or specific keywords

- Content performance: Compare engagement across tweet types to understand what drives business outcomes
