Creating Agents
Creating an agent in OpsTower takes just a few steps. Once created, you can configure its connections, knowledge, and model preferences from the agent settings page.
Steps to Create an Agent

Open the Agents portal. Navigate to the Agents section from the sidebar.

Click “Create Agent.” This opens the agent creation dialog.

Select an agent type. Choose between:
- Debugger — Investigates errors and unexpected behavior. Compatible with logs, code, and database connections.
- Analyst — Analyzes analytics data and trends. Compatible with analytics and database connections.
Each type displays a description and the categories of connections it supports, so you can pick the right one for your use case.

Give the agent a name. Choose a descriptive name that reflects the agent’s purpose. For example:
- “Backend Debugger” for an agent investigating server-side errors
- “Growth Analyst” for an agent tracking acquisition and conversion metrics
- “Payments Debugger” for an agent focused on billing-related issues

Start configuring. After creation, you are taken to the agent’s settings page where you can enable connections, attach knowledge, and adjust the AI model. See Agent Settings for details.
Tier Limits
Section titled “Tier Limits”The number of agents you can create depends on your plan:

If you reach your plan’s agent limit, you will need to upgrade or remove an existing agent before creating a new one.
